Blair Athol 'Old Particular' Sangiovese Finish 2011 / 13 years old 48.4%

Part of a new series from Douglas Laing & Co, this single cask from the Blair Athol distillery was finished (a final, secondary maturation) in uncommon ex-Sangiovese red wine casks. Notes of dark berries, dried fruits and red berries are all characteristic of this wood, with the distillery's classic malty and vanilla'd tone coming through as well.
